The Paradox Process is a feeling-management-system that puts you in control. It is a series of tools that allow you to interact with your mind and completely change your negative feelings and perceptions.
Identify an issue, identify the strongest negative feeling, apply various Paradox Process techniques to the issue, and check back to see what has changed.
A Paradox Process session begins with a one-on-one conversation with a Facilitator. You will talk about who you are, what you want in life and explain the issue you would like to work on. You will immediately begin using Paradox Process tools to change and shift that issue. The goal is to immediately address the core issues and start to shift unneeded negativity to start allowing individuals to move forward. A portion of each session is dedicated to teaching the client how to work on their own. Sessions are 50 minutes in length and are held in person, through Zoom or by phone. Session fees are dictated by the experience of each Facilitator and there are price points for all budgets.
Some clients get what they need in a handful of sessions and they come back at a later time if/when needed. Creating real change, however, is work. Transforming an area of your life takes time, commitment and consistency. We recommend clients commit to one session a week for a period of 3 or 4 months and then re-evaluate. The mind can easily rebuild the architecture of the upsets and issues we work on in session, which is why we highly recommend scheduling once a week and doing daily work at home in between. If budget prevents a client from coming once a week - then twice a week will work, but again, the homework must, must be done in between.
If a mental health issue is detected or revealed by the client, we will recommend and sometimes mandate they work with a licensed Mental Health Profession in conjunction with Paradox Process sessions. Yes, Paradox Process tools can complement traditional therapy nicely.
Life Coaches deal solely through the intellect in order to affect change. Paradox Process tools work on the subconscious. Most of us are very often operating from outdated beliefs at the subconscious level. Paradox Process techniques will eliminate the limiting beliefs standing in our way.
CBT is a technique used by Psychotherapists to reshape negative or inaccurate thinking through consciously choosing new thoughts. It is an attempt to change negative feelings by changing thoughts. The Paradox Process techniques change negative feelings on the subconscious level, thus more positive thoughts and narratives arise as a result.
NLP is a psychological approach that involves analyzing behaviors and strategies of oneself and others in order to be able to manipulate and achieve desired outcomes. Paradox Process gives the user the power to break free of one’s psychological conditioning. It allows one to feel emotionally light and at ease, and thus creates more powerful and productive behavior.

Specific verbal phrases will trigger a subconscious meditation in the user. That meditation will clear the emotional charge and give the user access to insight and information that was buried underneath the negative feelings.
This will change your life. Our negative feelings dictate our experience, our outlook and even our choices. If you don’t learn to manage negative feelings effectively, they will manage you. The Paradox Process will allow your intentions to manifest once you are out of your own way.
We often say that the Paradox Process can be used in “Crisis or Creation.” In the beginning, clients are usually in crisis about one or more areas of their life. They either can’t get what they want or they’ve lost something or someone. They are in emotional pain and out of the emotional resources to move forward. The Paradox Process will eliminate the emotional pain and build internal resources allowing the client to let go and move on. “Creating” with Paradox Process tools is a blast. We take a dream that a client wants to see happen and we build the internal resourcefulness to make it happen. When fears, worries and the “I’m not enough”s start to fall away, clients become motivated, they make different choices, their dreams will show up in this new emotional space they are building.
Traditional therapy’s approach is to educate their clients on how their psyche was formed and work to relieve emotional pressure by reframing their upsets on a conscious level. While a skilled therapist can help their clients gain insight in this fashion, the process is lengthy. Our catch-phrase is The Paradox Process is “ A year’s work of therapy in an hour.” It actively engages with your mind and creates insights at a rapid pace. It is common for clients to experience multiple “Ah Ha” moments in just a few minutes of work even.
We are proud to share that we have a nonprofit organization called Healing and Discovery Foundation that educates and empowers teens and young adults in the New York City school system. Private sessions are available for children starting at 14 years of age. Paradox Process techniques have been developed for children of all ages. Session work for children under the age of 14 is possible and would be considered on a case by case basis. Paradox Process tools will most certainly help a person with special needs. This would require a consultation with Thomas M. Jones, co-creator of The Paradox Process, to explore how these tools would apply on a case-by-case basis.
While the “bones” of this process use mantra meditation, using this technique looks nothing like a meditation practice. Through specifically designed exercises, the user deliberately interacts with the mind’s negative thoughts and feelings.
EMDR uses deliberate eye movements to disrupt the optic nerve’s connection to negative pictures and images, thus having some effect on changing a negative experience. Tapping creates an emotional release by literally tapping on various acupressure points on the body. The Paradox Process uses verbal commands that, when triggered, will interact with the mind’s negative feelings and thoughts on a conscious and subconscious level.
Facilitators are privately certified through a two year Facilitator Training Program. This includes weekly classes led by Thomas M. Jones, the co-creator of The Paradox Process, and the most experienced Facilitators (10+ years). Once Trainees are certified to teach, they enter a Residency Program where their work is guided and their skills are developed. Paradox Process Facilitators are not licensed therapists as this is a very different approach.
